World News: BJ-Gear”™s range of the sanitary flange and steel bearings meets the FDA requirements under 21 CFR 175.300.

BJ-Gear in Skanderborg south of Aarhus (Denmark) has just tested the hygienic flange and pillow block bearings houses under the brand name NG to meet the FDA requirements under 21 CFR 175.300. This tests helps to put a high quality standard within the supply of transmission components for the global food industry.

Now it's even harder to be a competitor to the BJ-Gear. The company has just passed the ultimate food test as the first manufacturer of flanged and pillow block bearings in the world, and it paves the way for sales in the U.S. - while also providing a recognition to the rest of the markets in the world.
"To meet the FDA requirements is the most difficult achievable and it is important for us to have got this. We expect a lot from having achieved this additional mark of quality, which is the ultimate proving of the high quality when it comes to minimizing the risk of bacterial growth in food production", says Flemming Graversgaard, Managing Director of BJ-Gear.
In 2013, BJ-Gear tested to meet an EU requirements of the hygienic, waterproof spherical bearings, and now they also meets the FDA requirements. This are evidence of high-quality products providing food manufacturers with substantial advantages in relation to a general strengthening of the food safety, but also in terms of building up process lines, cleaning and maintenance.

Generally, the product development among suppliers to the food industry takes place quickly. Food safety is a hot topic, even globally, and approvals are crucial in this context. With the  FDA requirements meet, BJ-Gear makes it even harder for competitors to follow.
"Now we have got something the others do not have. We are quite confident that with complying to the FDA requirements, we are is at the forefront of the market and that we will rapidly see an even higher demand and thus help to set a high standard of quality in components for food companies", says Flemming Graversgaard.
Traceability on the material
BJ-Gear is launching an expansion of the product range to include two additional dimensions.
"We have just launched two new dimensions: ø 50 and ø 60 mm in two- and four-bolt pillow block bearings to meet the market demand for larger bearings. Like the rest of the range, the new dimensions are produced in the extremely stable and strong material Baydur, and the houses are designed with rounded corners and smooth surfaces to facilitate cleaning”, says Flemming Graversgaard and continues:
"The degree of protection is IP67, which means among others that the bearings can be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner from all angles. Moreover, all our NG bearings are traceable as the only ones of their kind, providing extra security for our customers.
